My introduction to designing UI for extensive design systems marked my initial foray into this field. I began my journey by spearheading the design of visual elements for various components within the nascent Tablet PC market. As a team leader, I played a pivotal role in shaping the user interface for this innovative platform. After the successful launch of Tablet PC, I transitioned to the Windows group, where I undertook the exciting challenge of contributing to the creation of a new design system for Windows Vista. Collaborating with a diverse array of designers, developers, and Product Managers (PMs) throughout the organization, we collectively conceptualized and implemented functional and manufacturable components. Among the notable achievements of this journey were the patent filings for significant elements of the design system, including the Start Menu and various other critical aspects.
